A BRIEF HISTORY
HUSCIE European Network was formed as a result of the promotion of the concept of networks amongst NGOs in the field of humanitarian, social and educational affairs by the European Commission as well as national and regional governments.
It was established as an Association under Dutch Law (registered in The Hague, The Netherlands) on 2001. The promoters and founders of HUSCIE European Network are executive managers of different NGOs all over Europe. These first NGOs were placed on Germany, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands and Ireland. On the next years different organisations of Europe became new members of HUSCIE European Network: Denmark, Portugal, Austria, Sweden, United Kingdom, France, Greece, Latvia,...
From this moment more than 20 projects have been developed in the framework of HUSCIE European Network, involving around 50 organisations all over Europe, promoting the social inclusion of more than 6.000 people (youngsters, early school leavers, women, people with disability, long term unemployed,..) on 23 different European countries.
